The world’s only green hydrometallurgical commercial-scale plant in operation for the extraction of gold and precious metals from e-waste is ready to change the planet.
Our recycling process is revolutionary. We’re the only service provider that combines circularity, efficiency, and environmental consciousness. Camston Wrather presents the future of electronics recycling and resource recovery.
Through advanced particle separation techniques, our recovery process sets new standards for sustainability. No pressure, heat, or chemicals are employed in the generation of recycled metals, ensuring the least harm to our planet. Partnering with manufacturers, we bolster their supply chain stability through domestic sourcing, maximizing the reuse of recycled metals. Join us in shaping a greener, more sustainable future.
At Camston Wrather we generate PCB boards through our various wholly owned Electronics Recycling subsidiaries as well as the open market.
Electronic waste (e-waste) is gathered from diverse sources, encompassing businesses, organizations, government entities, and electronic recycling centers.
The intake process for materials involves collecting and categorizing electronic waste, securely erasing data, and assessing each item’s condition and potential for reuse, refurbishment, or recycling. This preliminary sorting and evaluation are crucial for maximizing recovery value and ensuring responsible disposal of non-reusable components.
Whole Unit Devices are disassembled to separate different components, such as printed circuit boards, batteries, plastics, metals, and glass. PCBs are then sorted for further processing to liberate precious metals and minerals.
This phase of the process is managed by our wholly owned subsidiaries with R2 certified ITAD data destruction and ITAR registered facilities.
Full Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) are fed into primary shredders and then to secondary shredders, producing 5/8” pieces of e-scrap. Steel hardware and scrap aluminum are separated and sold to third-parties.
Pulverizes smaller feed into smaller particles, which are meaningfully smaller than 2mm. Our facility is capable of processing PCB shreds at an output rate of 4,000+ lbs/hr. This enables dry separation of key metals from polymer plastic fractions.
The separation step further reduces the average metal particle size to a fine powder, which is then separated into a metals stream and a polymer stream. A magnetic separation process sorts the metal stream, allowing separation of the ferrous and nonferrous components.
The assaying process involves sampling precious metals to determine their purity and composition through our in-house lab to create faster turnaround times. Various techniques, such or inductively coupled plasma analysis, are used for precise analysis.
Post e-scrap recycling, customers receive settlement based on the assayed value of recovered metals. Additionally, the environmentally friendly recycling process may yield carbon credits, offering further financial incentives through the trade or sale of these credits.
After the precious materials and polymers are recovered from recycling processes, they are then reintroduced into the marketplace as raw materials for new products, contributing to a circular economy and reducing environmental impact through sustainable material management and usage.
Using advanced particle separation techniques, our recycling process is the most-friendly on the planet. We do not use pressure, heat or chemicals to generate recycled metals.
